The Politics of Irony
Related to country: United States

How unfortunate and regrettable a situation the US and by extension many developed and developing nations have found themselves in regarding the current economic crisis. Perhaps the most distasteful taboo in this whole situation is the fact that the creators and most reputable supporters of free trade and business and trade liberalization has disregarded their own precedents by more than 700 Billion dollars. This creates a situation where the postman is too good to read his own mail, and perhaps a slug is too clean to touch his own slime. How can we as developing nations continue to support the egocentric ideals of a free trade agreement when clearly the USA has forthright neglected its own recommendations?
Some may say I sound harsh considering the realities of job losses, revenue constraints and such and I may comprehend with that analogy, but major job loss and revenue depletion is all a process in the overall life cycle of any free trade policy. The overwhelming concept behind the trade liberalization is that the markets replenish themselves almost naturally as a body does once a foreign threat is detected. The integration of the world economies via the ordeal or trade liberalization, unlike in the analogy of the human body, would imply that instead of depending on internal resistors to the threats, many flexible alternatives could be found.

However my opinion is that the USA has so much pride in itself that it could not dare allow any foreign company to take control of these inefficiently and carelessly run organization which they have apparently spoon-fed.

to add insult to the injury, the plans of trade liberalization and continual talks are still apparently smoothly on the agenda of many of these developed countries such as Britain, France, Germany and the beloved USA.

My point to summarize this blog is simple, "When you come to equity come with clean hands, and when u try to push trade liberalization and minimize government intervention and subsidization in the faces of the developing world reflect on what has taken place".

Politics
Related to country: Barbados

One should sit amongs others with an open mind
even if those to your side have been branded a closed one
One should take suggestions and comments as a two-sided clause
and not be bound to the rigours of a dictatorship of preference

For he who is the dictator need not show his aggression
for once he has brainwashed his clique his agression is cast through them
For he who is a dictator need not acknowledge rivalry
for once he has brinwashed his clique such rivalry is quelled by them

But the quiet politician sits and waits with lips midway
not eager to ounce on the faults of the dictator
But the quiet politician simply focusses on duty
and the dictator focusses on power and so he shall fail

The quiet politician's approach to progress is a pebble thrown into a bucket brimmed with liquid
the movement of the ripples implicit of his approach, their successfull return implicit of his progress
The quiet politician simply sits, simply waits, simply leads even when following
and the dictator finds it difficult to transfer his fury and disappointment to such a silent entity

Neo-Community Development
Related to country: Barbados

Tradition methodologies of community development have now served their time. Hence why they should be termed traditional. No longer can the machinery of development be limited within the parameters of external interventions. this meaning no longer should the community sit and watch governments, regardless of who is in, develop around their houses while their only contribution may be in the form of community meetings and survey sheets. My method of community development is based on a concept i learned in economics called the multiplier. so rampant an approach is this method that i can be bold enough to speak ahead of myself and say that this project can ONLY BE SUCCESSFUL. that is all i am willing to tell you about this project right now and i am willing to share the concet with a select few individuals who share a simillar mandate. Not only will i create a community based company, but in addition, the Multiplier Project will create a company based community. (food for thought) so please, feel free to engage me in a discussion for me to expound on my unique ambition. i promise you, this one is a winner.
